exporting multiple rows

I'm trying to set up a row that has 5 rows below it and when you click on the + it'll expand to show the five lines.

They're all set up to toggle based on the one row. It works online, but when I try to export it to anything, it only picks up the first detail row and leaves off the rest. I'm doing this for a bunch of reports, and they're all being emailed using subscriptions.

I've moved the detail rows around but each time it's just the first detail row that is exported.

Any ideas?

thx,

Hello,

What formats are you trying to export to? Toggleable visibility is only supported in a few rendering extensions (HTML, Winforms, and in some cases Excel).

When you export to PDF or Image, those renderers honor the toggle state at the time the file is exported. So, if you have all of your toggleable items collapsed and then export to PDF you will only see the collapsed representation.

Export to excel problem

Hi,

I have a tabular report that has a toggle(collapsible item) in the details area. The toggle works fine in the report designer but when I export it to excel, the toggle is not exported. Are there some properties that I missed configuring?

Thanks!

Do you have other table rows between details and the row with the toggle? If this is the case, we cannot generate the outlines in Excel since Excel requires the rows to be consecutive.

Thank you,

Nico

We had no problem when we use Reporting Services Standard edition. But after we installed Reporting Service SP2, we got the same problem as you. Unfortunately, I don't have solution yet.

Do you have Reporting Services SP2 installed?

Please let me know.

Thanks for your email.
I am using SQL 2005 (version 9.00.1399.00) and Excel 2003 SP2. The subreport
is contained in the detailed row of my table. This subreport is perfected
for my application, it return different number of rows and with hidden
property set to true. Each time click the toggle key it display the result
from the subreport. Unfortunately, it just could not display the contents of
the subreport when exported to Excel. Thanks for your attention. And would
like to hear your response.
