Exporting only a portion of a Report

Hi,
How I can export only a portion of report? For example can I export only
first 15 pages of a report?

SamuelUsing URL access, you can do this only in PDF by appending
rs:Format=PDF&rc:StartPage=1&rc:EndPage=15 to the report URL.

Exporting Data

Hello everybody,

I was wondering if there is a way to export and recode data at the same time with SQL.

For example I have gender information coded as 1 or 2 in my table and I need to upload the information to a different application that needs M or F. Is there a way to export to a new table and recode at the same time ?

I'm still pretty new to it.

Exporting a topic from BOL

Is there an easy method to export a topic out of BOL?

I'd like to export this to MS Word, I need to send this information to a large distrubtion list for review and I'm find it rather diffucult. Sending the entire BOL files is not a option.

A satifactory option would be to load BOL to Windows SharePoint Services. I'd want the enitre document to be load not just an copy that a user would install on thier local workstation.

Here are a couple of possibilities.

1. Assuming everyone on the distribution list has internet access, you may want to send them a link to the equivalent topics located on MSDN. For example, the topic you referenced can be found here: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143504(SQL.90).aspx. The main entry point to BOL is here: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms130214(SQL.90).aspx.

or

2. Copy/paste the topic into Word. In the BOL topic, right-click and choose Select All. Right-click again and choose Copy. Open Word and paste into an open document. The formatting is a bit odd, but it may be satisfactory for your needs. The links to other topics won't work of course.

What we do in our group is download Books Online to a single server and then have users access the server using Remote Desktop. That might be an alternative for you also.

When I export it to excel I would like every cell to be filled in.

Any info or help on this would be great.Will export to CSV work?

>|||I believe you can set the CSV rendering device info to put quotes around
strings. Then you will have no problem with commas in the data. The only
device info I have used is to make the CSV rendering in Report Manager to be
ASCII. This is what I put in rsreportserver.config:

export to excel has merged cell problem

I have noticed that after my report exported to excel, some of the cells are
merged.
For example, I have report as following
ID Project Name Author Description
1 xxxx dfdf fdfdfdfd
after export in the excel, the data shows correctly, but on the top of the
excel file, it may show something like this
A B C D E F
ID Project Name Author Description
1 xxxx dfdf fdfdfdfd
The problem is some of the columns has one column data but excel treat them
as two columns.
Does anyone have any idea? thanks.The Excel renderer will merge cells in order to preserve the report item
alignment you defined when you designed the report.
Merging usually happens when there are report items either below or above
the table whose left or right edges do not exactly match that of the table
cells below.
A classic example of this is a single textbox above a table that functions
as a header. Make sure this textbox starts and ends at the border of one of
the below table's cells.
