Hi All,
This is my first reporting services post (as I am pretty new to
working with this new technology), so if I am unclear on anything or
ignorant on anything please forgive me!
Current Situation:
--
I am exporting a report to PDF (in a Windows service). The parent
report is exporting correctly, but a subreport is erroring out. This
subreport is simply a graph at the bottom of the report, so it is
pretty crucial to the report that it is shown. The method I am using
to export this report is LocalReport.Render.
Things to keep in mind:
--
I am developing this service in VS 2005 in c#.
Is this even possible?Have you applied SQL Server 2005 SP2 to your development machine?
If not try this since applying that will also update the ReportViewer
control and the rest of the client components as well.

Export Web Archive (MHTML) not working after SP1 installed
Exporting to Web Archive (MHTML) is not working anymore after I installed
SP1. When I export to Web Archive and open the file directly IE just hangs.
When I save the file to my disk and open it from there it works. All other
formats for export work fine.
Here is a line from the report file.
w3wp!chunks!fb0!09/02/2004-11:43:28:: i INFO: ###
GetReportChunk('RenderingInfo_MHTML', 2), chunk was not found!
this=88b2b869-7080-4a6f-8c92-54eed686a400
Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.Is this on all reports or just a specific report? Does it happen on all
client machines?

Export to PDF stopped working after XP SP2 is installed on client's machine
Hi All
We are having a problem after XP SP2 is installed on the user's machine, the
export to PDF no longer works as instead on opening the report in PDF format
inside the browser it actually tries to save the .aspx page, I think it is
something to do with MIME types.
Has anyone noticed this issue and is there a work around.
Please help
Rahulmake sure your adobe reader is installed properly. we had this problem
to, and it turned out that adobe installation had not been completed.
This was only a problem with the new adobe 6.2, 6.0 was fine.

Export to Excel
I used bcp to export data to Excel file
master..xp_cmdshell 'bcp "select * from MyDB..Test" queryout
"D:\ex.xls" -c'
It is working. But It is actually stored as Text(Tab Delimitated) type.
I have to open it and do saveas and select "Microsoft Excel Workbook"
to actually save it as Excel file. Is there any way to avoid this?
MadhivananIf you actually want an Excel workbook as output, use a DTS package instead.
bcp is used only for text (or native) output.

like a straightforward export.

Export to CSV/Excel
How can I export data from a table to a CSV file? I am working with an
Account package with multiple companies. Each company has its own database
and all the tables are named the same thing. I want to export all the data i
n
a table called Account for each company to a CSV file. There are about 20
companies and I do not want to manually do this using DTS. Is there a way I
could write a script to do this?
Thanks
EmmaIf you do not want to use DTS, you can use BCP. It is a command line
directive that allows you to export to a file directly from a table, view or
a query.
Rather than me explaining more about it, you can check look the BCP usage in
SQL Server Books Online.
Let me know if it helps.

one question, hope its a one time request. If so the time scripting can get
you around 100 tables to CSV using DTS.
Again in my mind i was going wild like, using osql put it in batchfile and
input account name to script it to csv. Again for such things you need to
provide accountname hardcoded.
